Manoh Pier is a shore diving and snorkeling site on the east coast of Koh Yao Yai, Phuket Province. The pier's concrete pillars and submerged rubble create artificial reefs that attract schools of batfish, snappers, and occasional blacktip reef sharks. The site offers easy access from the beach, with shallow depths suitable for beginners and snorkelers.
What to expect
- Guided dives and snorkeling sessions typically last 45 to 60 minutes, with a maximum depth of 12 metres for divers.
- The pier structure supports dense colonies of soft corals and sea anemones, home to clownfish, damselfish, and moray eels.
- Snorkelers can float above the sandy bottom at 2 to 5 metres depth and observe juvenile trevally and pufferfish among the pillars.
- All necessary equipment, including mask, snorkel, fins, and weight belt, is provided by the local dive shop at the pier.
- The site suits first-time divers and families with children aged 8 and above, as the water is calm and current is minimal.
- A surface interval area with shaded benches and fresh water showers is available on the pier for between-dive rest.
