Dance Studios in Tha Khao Beach offers structured dance classes on the sands of Koh Yao Yai’s western shore. The studio provides a covered open-air floor with a view of the Andaman Sea, suitable for both beginners and experienced dancers. Sessions run daily from 9:00 to 11:00 and 17:00 to 19:00, with mats and water included.
What to expect
- Classes last 60 minutes and cover hip-hop, contemporary, and traditional Thai dance, with a different genre each day
- Instructors are certified from Bangkok’s College of Dance, and they adjust routines to your skill level
- Each session includes a 10-minute warm-up, 40 minutes of choreography, and a 10-minute cool-down stretch
- You dance on a sprung wooden floor under a thatched roof, with the beach 15 metres away
- Suitable for solo travellers, couples, and small groups; private sessions for up to 8 people are bookable at the desk
- Free use of lockers and a towel, plus a bottle of chilled coconut water after the class
