About this experience

Dance Studios in Tha Khao is a dedicated dance instruction venue located in the village of Tha Khao on Koh Yao Yai island. The studio offers structured classes in a covered, open-air space with wooden floors and ceiling fans, set among rubber trees. It operates daily from 9:00 to 18:00, with sessions led by a local instructor trained in Thai classical and contemporary styles.

What to expect

Classes run in 60-minute blocks, with a maximum of 8 participants per session to ensure individual attention
Each session includes a warm-up, technique drills, and a short choreographed routine that you learn and perform by the end
The studio provides non-slip dance shoes and bottled water, but you must bring your own sweat towel
Visitors watch a 10-minute demonstration of traditional Thai dance costumes and props before the practical part begins
Suitable for adults and children aged 10 and above, with beginner and intermediate levels offered on alternating days
The studio is a 5-minute walk from the Tha Khao pier, with a shaded outdoor waiting area for non-participants
