Sairee Beach Supermarkets & Groceries is the primary retail hub on Koh Tao's west coast, stocking daily essentials, fresh produce, and imported goods. Located along the main beach road, these stores serve both residents and visitors needing supplies without travelling to Mae Haad. The shops offer a practical range of items, from Thai staples to Western brands, with extended opening hours.
What to expect
- Stores are open from 7:00 to 22:00 daily, with no midday closure, allowing flexible shopping between beach activities.
- Fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, and locally baked bread are restocked each morning, with a small selection of Thai herbs and spices.
- Imported items include pasta, cheese, cereals, and condiments from Europe and Australia, priced 20-30% above Bangkok rates.
- Cold drinks, ice cream, and chilled beer are available from refrigerated units near the checkout, with single cans sold for immediate consumption.
- Household goods such as sunscreen, mosquito repellent, batteries, and basic toiletries are stocked on dedicated shelves.
- The shops suit self-catering travellers, long-stay divers, and families needing baby formula or nappies, with staff able to point out nearby ATM locations.
