Sairee Beach on Koh Tao is the island's main dining hub, offering a long strip of restaurants, bars, and street-food stalls along the sand. The area serves fresh seafood, Thai classics, and international dishes, with many venues providing sunset views over the bay. It is a central spot for casual meals and evening socialising.
What to expect
- Dine at beachfront tables with direct views of the sunset over the Gulf of Thailand.
- Choose from over 30 eateries within a 500-metre stretch, including Thai, Italian, and Indian options.
- Try freshly caught grilled fish or squid at the nightly barbecue stalls set up on the sand.
- Enjoy a casual meal at a wooden deck restaurant with your feet in the sand, most open from 11:00 to 23:00.
- Sample local street food like pad thai or mango sticky rice from vendors near the main road.
- Suitable for solo travellers, couples, and groups seeking relaxed, affordable dining in a lively beach setting.
