Nightclubs in Phi Phi Leh are the island's sole nocturnal entertainment venues, located along the beachfront of Loh Samah Bay. These open-air bars and clubs operate from sunset until roughly 2am, drawing a crowd of backpackers and divers staying overnight on the island. The music ranges from reggae to electronic, with dance floors set directly on sand or wooden decks.
What to expect
- Entry to most clubs is free, with drink prices starting at 150 baht for a local beer or mixed spirit
- Live fire shows and limbo competitions run on the beach between 9pm and 11pm nightly
- The main club, named 'The Cave', has a capacity of 200 people and features a DJ booth built into a limestone cliff
- Dancing continues outdoors on a floating pontoon anchored 20 metres from the shore during high tide
- Suitable for travellers aged 18-35 seeking a high-energy party, not for quiet lounges or VIP bottle service
- Most venues close at 2am, with the last speedboat transfer to Phi Phi Don departing at 2:30am for those not staying overnight
