Spa & Massage in Lonely Beach is a beachfront wellness facility on the western shore of Koh Chang, offering traditional Thai massage and oil treatments. The open-air pavilions sit directly on the sand, with the sound of waves replacing background music. Treatments use locally sourced coconut oil and herbal compresses, with sessions lasting from 30 to 90 minutes.
What to expect
- Choose from 30-minute foot reflexology, 60-minute Thai massage, or 90-minute oil massage with warm coconut oil.
- Lie on a mattress on the open-air deck, facing the sea, with a sarong and towel provided.
- Therapists use traditional Thai stretching and acupressure techniques, pressing along sen lines.
- Herbal compress balls, steamed with lemongrass and turmeric, are applied to shoulders and lower back.
- After the massage, receive a cup of hot ginger tea and a cool towel.
- Suits travellers seeking a low-cost, no-frills treatment; prices start at 300 baht per hour.
