Thrifty Car Rental
About
For a car rental agency in Key West, Thrifty Car Rental operates from 3495 S Roosevelt Blvd, Key West, FL 33040, United States, a base on the island's southern stretch. The branch gives visitors a way to collect a vehicle and set off along the Overseas Highway rather than relying on lifts or shuttles. Its website, https://www.thrifty.com/loc/, carries the rental information for anyone planning ahead.
Renters should confirm licence and minimum age conditions with the counter team before booking, since those requirements decide who can drive off the lot. A rating of 1.9 out of 5, drawn from 18 customer reviews, reflects a mixed reception among past renters. Stock Island sits close by, so a car can be collected and driven towards the lower keys within a short stretch of road.
Opening hours are not published, so timing a collection is worth arranging in advance. Photos of the fleet and the pickup process are not displayed online. The website remains the main point of contact for availability and booking questions.
English is the main language across the Florida Keys, and Spanish is widely spoken, which keeps counter conversations simple for most visitors. The Overseas Highway links the keys to the mainland, so a rental car makes the run south towards Bahia Honda and Big Pine Key straightforward. Drivers should pack for warm, humid conditions and sudden showers. Key lime pie and conch fritters are the local dishes to seek out after a day on the road.
