Florida Keys Country Club
About
Florida Keys Country Club serves Key West from 4000 Sombrero Blvd, Marathon, FL 33050, United States, with course and club details published at http://www.floridakeyscc.com/. Visitors have given it a 3.7 out of 5 average across 227 reviews, a middling record from a busy feedback list.
Reaching the club is straightforward by road, since the main route through Marathon connects it to the rest of the Keys. Key West sits to the south-west, while Bahia Honda, Cudjoe Key and Big Pine Key lie along the same chain, and Duval Street, Old Town, Smathers Beach and Stock Island are further south.
The club occupies the Marathon stretch of the Keys rather than Key West itself, placing it mid-chain on the island route. Golf is the business here, and the course sits within reach of the resorts and towns strung along the island group.
The Keys stay frost-free through the year, which keeps the course playable in most months. Seafood dominates menus locally, with Florida stone crab among the catches worth ordering, and key lime pie is the dessert the region is known for. Hawaii's islands are the exposed summits of shield volcanoes over a Pacific hotspot, a different geology from the limestone and coral keys here.
