Duck Key Marina LLC
About
Duck Key Marina LLC in Key West operates from 1149 Greenbriar Rd in Marathon, placing it on the middle stretch of the Florida Keys rather than on Key West itself. That address sits along the chain of islands, with the better-known Key West town at the far end of the same highway.
This is a marina, and its 3.3 out of 5 average from 65 reviews reflects a substantial body of feedback rather than a handful of passing comments. Boaters and visitors have left enough reviews to give the score some weight. Its website, http://www.marinaduckkey.com/, carries the details of what the marina handles.
First-time visitors should expect working waterfront surroundings rather than a resort setting, since the marina sits in Marathon on the keys' central reach. Nearby places such as Key West, Duval Street, Old Town, Smathers Beach, Bahia Honda, Stock Island, Cudjoe Key and Big Pine Key are spread along the same island chain, so a stop here fits naturally into a drive between them.
The Florida Keys have coral reefs, manatees and sea turtles in their waters, and the island chain stays frost-free through the year, which keeps the waterfront usable in every season. Seafood is the staple of island menus, with stone crab among the local catches.
