Diving & Snorkeling in Dryopida is a guided underwater excursion based in the coastal area of Dryopida village on Kythnos island. The activity provides access to the Aegean Sea's rocky reefs, seagrass meadows, and small caves, with visibility typically ranging from 10 to 25 metres. Sessions operate from a local dive centre, with equipment and safety briefing included for all participants.

What to expect

Sessions last 2 to 3 hours, including a 20-minute pre-dive briefing and a 40- to 50-minute underwater tour
Full scuba gear (BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask, fins) and weights are provided; snorkellers receive mask, snorkel, fins, and buoyancy aid
You will swim along granite boulder formations and through a narrow underwater passage at depths of 5 to 12 metres for divers
Sightings include Mediterranean parrotfish, damselfish, octopus, and occasionally moray eels near the rocky crevices
Suitable for certified divers (minimum Open Water Diver) and confident swimmers aged 10 and above for snorkelling
A surface interval with bottled water and a short guided walk along the Dryopida shoreline is included between two dives if booked as a double dive
