Reaching the venue from the main resorts and towns is straightforward, since Lihue, Kapaa, Poipu, Princeville, Hanalei, Kilauea, Koloa and Waimea all sit within the island's road network. The south-shore setting at Koloa puts the cinema within the island's sunnier leeward belt, where the weather stays drier for much of the year. Hawaiian cooking draws on fresh seafood, poke, plate lunches and tropical fruit, which visitors can try around the island. Direct flights from the US mainland bring travellers to Hawaii, while inter-island flights and ferries provide onward connections between the main islands. English and Hawaiian are the languages spoken locally, so getting around is simple for most visitors. The November to March wetter season brings more rain, while the leeward coast around Koloa tends to stay dry. For anyone staying near Poipu or passing through Koloa, Projection House offers a cinema stop on the island's southern side.
