Island Taco
About
Island Taco is a local business in Kauai. The venue sits at 9643 Kaumualii Hwy, Waimea, HI 96796, Estados Unidos, on the island's western side. It operates as a taco spot serving the Waimea area and draws a steady local following. Diners rate Island Taco 4.4 out of 5 across 1191 reviews, a strong showing for a small island eatery. The address places it along the highway through Waimea, one of the nearby places listed alongside Lihue, Kapaa, Poipu, Princeville, Hanalei, Kilauea and Koloa. Its website, http://www.islandfishtaco.com/, carries further details about the business. Two photos accompany the listing, giving a brief visual sense of the venue. Kauai's tropical climate keeps the leeward coast drier and sunnier through the year, while the wetter season generally runs November to March. Hawaiian food blends fresh seafood, poke, plate lunches and tropical fruit, and a taco stand fits naturally into that seafood-forward style. Travellers reach Hawaii by direct flights from the US mainland, with inter-island flights and ferries linking the main islands. English and Hawaiian are the main languages spoken, which helps visitors navigate menus and roads alike. Waimea sits on the drier side of Kauai, so a stop here pairs well with a day exploring the western coast. The combination of a 4.4 rating and more than a thousand reviews marks Island Taco as an established name in the local food scene.
