About this experience

Dance Studios in Treasure Beach is a dance instruction venue located in the quiet fishing village of Treasure Beach on Jamaica's south coast. It offers structured classes in Jamaican dance styles, including dancehall and reggae, for visitors and residents. The studio operates with local instructors who teach both beginners and experienced dancers in a relaxed, beachside setting.

What to expect

Classes run for 60 to 90 minutes, with morning and evening sessions available six days a week.
Each session includes a warm-up, step-by-step choreography breakdown, and a freestyle practice segment.
Visitors learn traditional Jamaican moves such as the Dutty Wine, Bogle, and Willie Bounce, with music provided by a local sound system.
The studio provides water, towels, and a shaded outdoor dance floor with a view of the Caribbean Sea.
Private one-on-one lessons can be booked for groups of up to four people, with a focus on personal technique.
The classes suit all fitness levels, and children aged eight and above are welcome in the family-friendly afternoon sessions.
