About this experience

Nightclubs in Killeany is the sole late-night dance venue on Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands, located in the village of Killeany near the harbour. This compact club operates mainly on weekends and during peak tourist season, offering a rare nightlife option in a remote island setting. The venue combines a bar and dance floor, drawing a mix of locals, hostel guests, and ferry day-trippers staying overnight.

What to expect

Open Friday and Saturday nights from 10pm to 2am, with extended hours during July and August
Entry fee is typically 5-10 euros, which includes access to the dance floor and the attached bar
DJ sets play a mix of mainstream pop, rock, and Irish trad remixes, with live acoustic sessions on some summer nights
The dance floor holds about 80 people, making it a small, crowded space where visitors mingle with island residents
Serves standard pub drinks, including Guinness, whiskey, and bottled cider, with no table service
Suits adults aged 18 and over who want a late-night social scene after a day of walking or cycling the island's forts and cliffs
