Hársnyrtistofa Rakarastofa
About
On Iceland, Hársnyrtistofa Rakarastofa operates from Langholtsvegur 128, 104 Reykjavík, Iceland, in the capital area. The Reykjavík address places it within the country's main urban centre rather than the outlying islands.
With 32 reviews averaging 4.4 out of 5, the business has built a following among clients in the Reykjavík area. Opening hours run from 09:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday, giving visitors a full working day to book an appointment. A Facebook page at https://m.facebook.com/harsnyrtistofadora/ carries updates.
First-time visitors should plan around the weekday schedule, since the business closes at weekends. Reaching the Langholtsvegur address from other towns on the island is straightforward, as Reykjavík sits at the centre of the road network, though winter storms can close routes. Nearby places such as Keflavik and Selfoss lie within the wider area served by the capital.
Iceland's islands are linked by domestic flights and coastal ferries, and roads close in winter storms, so travellers should build flexibility into any itinerary. Patronymic surnames ending in -son or -dóttir are still used, and English is widely understood, which makes appointments easier for visitors. Grey and harbour seals haul out on Icelandic skerries, and orcas and minke whales feed offshore, a sight many travellers plan around. Þorrablót, a midwinter feast of traditional food, is celebrated on Icelandic islands in January or February.
