Ibiza's Mediterranean weather brings hot, dry summers and mild winters, with June to September the busiest stretch for visitors. Balearic cooking leans on fresh seafood, sobrasada sausage and ensaimada pastries, alongside wines from the islands' vineyards, which suits a night that starts with dinner. Flights arrive frequently from across Europe, and ferries link the Balearics to mainland Spain, so reaching Ibiza is straightforward. Spanish and Catalan are the main languages spoken here, and a few local phrases go a long way when ordering at the bar.
