Churches in Kohala Coast is a guided tour of historic Christian congregations along the Big Island's northwestern shore, from ancient lava-rock sanctuaries to modern parish halls. The activity covers a 20-mile stretch between Kawaihae and Puako, where visitors learn how each church served sugar plantation communities. Tours run on weekdays and include entry to buildings that are normally closed to the public.
