Diving & Snorkeling in Gran Canaria is a guided underwater activity along the island's volcanic coastline, based in Gran Canaria. The clear Atlantic waters offer visibility up to 30 metres, with dive sites ranging from shallow lava reefs to deeper walls. Certified instructors lead sessions for both beginners and experienced divers, using equipment provided on-site.
What to expect
- Sessions last 2 to 3 hours, including a 40- to 50-minute dive or snorkel at a site chosen by the crew
- Full scuba gear, wetsuit, and weights are included; snorkelers receive mask, fins, and snorkel
- Encounter resident marine life such as damselfish, trumpetfish, and occasional sea turtles near the Arinaga reef
- Suitable for ages 8 and up for snorkeling, and 10 and up for introductory scuba with a pool or shallow-water training segment
- Dive sites include the Sardina del Norte wall and the El Cabrón marine reserve, with depths from 5 to 25 metres
- Underwater photography service is available on request, with digital photos delivered after the activity
