Farkonas Pool Bar
About
Among Cyprus's bar or nightlife venues, Farkonas Pool Bar pairs drinks with a pool setting on Ellinon 30 in Paralimni, Ammochostos 5295, Chipre. The bar sits on the island's south-eastern side, close to the resort strip that runs through Ayia Napa and Protaras.
Guests score Farkonas Pool Bar 4.6 out of 5 across 180 reviews, a tally that places it firmly among the island's better-known pool bars. Its own website, farkonasbarrestaurant.com, carries the details of what the bar puts on. The name signals the format: a pool bar, built for drinks beside the water rather than a late-night club floor.
Opening hours are published for the bar, so the daily schedule can be checked before setting out. The website is the place where those times sit alongside anything the bar has arranged. Anyone planning an evening around the pool can work from that schedule rather than turning up on spec.
Events, live music and DJ nights are part of what the bar advertises through its own site, so it is worth looking at what is on before a night out. Cyprus runs hot and dry through summer and stays mild in winter, with May to October the busiest stretch for visitors. Food on the island draws on meze, halloumi, fresh seafood and local wines, which suits a long evening by the pool. Direct flights from Europe and the Middle East make arrival straightforward, and while Greek and Turkish are the main languages, English is widely spoken.
