What to expect

Standard check-in is 15:00 and check-out is 11:00, with most resorts offering 24-hour front desk service and luggage storage.
Room categories include sea-view doubles, family suites with separate sleeping areas, and villas with private plunge pools for groups of four to eight guests.
On-site amenities typically include outdoor freshwater pools, sunbed areas, buffet breakfast with Cretan cheeses and olives, and evening entertainment for children aged 4-12.
Many coastal resorts provide direct access to sandy beaches with sun loungers and umbrellas, plus water sports such as paddleboarding and snorkelling available at an extra charge.
This collection suits couples seeking quiet adult-only sections, families wanting kids’ clubs and shallow pools, and solo travellers who prefer central locations near bus routes to Knossos and Samaria Gorge.
