Spa & Massage in Mambajao is a wellness service located in the town centre of Mambajao, Camiguin Island. It offers traditional Filipino massage therapies using local coconut oil and warm compresses. The facility operates daily from 10:00 to 20:00, with walk-in appointments available for most sessions.
What to expect
- Each full-body massage session lasts 60 or 90 minutes, with a choice of Swedish, deep tissue, or hilot (traditional Filipino) techniques.
- Therapists use locally pressed coconut oil and heated banana leaf compresses during the hilot session, which targets muscle knots and joint stiffness.
- A standard session includes a foot soak with warm water and sea salt, followed by a scalp and shoulder massage before the main body work.
- Private couples' rooms are available with two massage tables, dimmed lighting, and a shared shower for post-treatment rinsing.
- The facility suits travellers with sore legs from hiking Mount Hibok-Hibok or diving, as therapists focus on calf and lower back tension.
- All sessions end with a cup of ginger tea and a short neck-and-arm stretch, with no additional charges for the tea or the stretch.
