Surf Lessons in Le Palais is a surf school offering guided tuition on the beaches of Belle-Île, based in the town of Le Palais. What to expect
- Lessons run for 2 hours, including a 30-minute shore-based technique briefing before entering the water
- All equipment is supplied: wetsuit, soft-top surfboard, and leash, sized to your height and weight
- You will paddle out at a beginner-friendly beach, typically Plage des Grands Sables or Plage de Bordardoué, depending on tide and swell
- The instructor demonstrates pop-up and paddle techniques on the sand, then gives individual feedback in the water
- Suitable for first-timers and improvers aged 8 and above; children under 12 are taught in a separate group with a lower student-to-instructor ratio
- Group size is capped at 8 students per instructor, ensuring each participant receives direct coaching during the session
