Paragliding in Le Palais is a tandem or solo flight activity launched from the cliffs of Belle-Île-en-Mer, overlooking the citadel and the harbour of Le Palais. The flight lasts 15 to 30 minutes depending on thermals, with a certified pilot controlling the wing. You take off from a grassy slope and land on the beach or a designated field near the town.
What to expect
- Tandem flights of 15 to 30 minutes with a state-certified pilot, including a pre-flight safety briefing and harness fitting
- Takeoff from the 60-metre cliff at Pointe des Poulains, with views of the Vauban citadel, the port, and the Atlantic swell below
- All equipment provided: paraglider, harness, helmet, and two-way radio for communication with the pilot during the flight
- Suitable for first-timers and passengers aged 8 and above, with a weight limit of 110 kg
- Flights operate from April to October, weather permitting, with a 10-minute walk from the Le Palais car park to the launch site
- Optional GoPro video recording of your flight, delivered as a digital file within 24 hours
