Surf Lessons in Uluwatu is a guided surf instruction session on the Bukit Peninsula's beaches, tailored for beginners and intermediates. The lesson takes place at Padang Padang or Dreamland Beach, where certified instructors teach wave reading, paddling, and pop-up techniques. Each session includes a pre-surf briefing on the beach and in-water coaching.
What to expect
- 2-hour lesson with a certified instructor, including 30 minutes of land-based technique training and 90 minutes in the water
- All equipment provided: soft-top surfboard, leash, and rash vest; reef-safe sunscreen is not included
- Small group size of maximum 4 students per instructor, ensuring individual feedback
- Learn to identify rip currents, wave selection, and proper paddling paths at Uluwatu's reef breaks
- Suitable for first-timers and those who can already stand up but want to improve wave timing
- Post-lesson video analysis available for an additional fee, showing your pop-up and paddle technique
