Surf Lessons in Mengwi is a professional surf instruction programme located on the beaches of Mengwi, Bali, catering to beginners and intermediate surfers. The lessons combine safety briefings, land-based technique training, and guided ocean practice with certified local instructors. Each session is structured to build confidence and improve paddling, popping up, and wave-riding skills.
What to expect
- Lesson duration is 2 hours, including a 20-minute beach safety and technique briefing before entering the water.
- All equipment is provided: soft-top surfboard, leash, and reef-safe sunscreen.
- Instructors are certified by the International Surfing Association and have lifeguard training.
- You will practise on gentle, sandy-bottom waves at a beginner-friendly break in Mengwi.
- Suitable for ages 8 and up; non-swimmers can join with a flotation vest and one-on-one instructor support.
- Each session includes a post-lesson video review of your paddling and pop-up technique.
