Surf Lessons in Amed is a beginner-focused surf school located on the black-sand beach of Amed, Bali. The lessons combine theory with practical ocean time, using soft-top boards in gentle reef breaks. Each session is led by certified local instructors who tailor the pace to your ability.
What to expect
- Lesson duration is 2 hours, including 30 minutes of beach instruction and 90 minutes in the water.
- All equipment is provided: soft-top surfboard, leash, and reef-safe sunscreen.
- You will learn to paddle, pop up, and ride white-water waves in a shallow, protected bay.
- Class size is limited to 4 students per instructor for individual attention.
- Suitable for first-timers and those who have tried surfing once or twice; no swimming certification required, but you must be comfortable in water.
- After the lesson, you can rinse off with fresh water at the beachside shower and receive a photo of your session (included).
