Nightclubs in Tulamben are a small cluster of beachfront bars and dance venues along the USAT Liberty wreck diving strip in east Bali. These venues operate from sunset to around 2am, catering to divers, backpackers, and local workers. Music ranges from reggae and house to Indonesian pop, with open-air floors facing the black sand shore.
What to expect
- Venues open at 6pm and close at 2am, with peak crowd between 10pm and midnight
- Entry is free at all three permanent nightclubs, but drinks cost 30,000 to 60,000 IDR per bottle of local beer
- Live DJ sets occur on Friday and Saturday nights, playing deep house and techno from 9pm
- You will see a mix of scuba instructors, resort staff, and travellers, with a 70% male crowd on weekdays
- Dance floors are uncovered concrete terraces with direct views of the dark ocean and fishing boats
- Most clubs offer pool tables and a single bar counter, with no dress code and flip-flops accepted
