The dive sites here include the drop-offs at Padangbai and the sandy slopes near Uluwatu, with visibility often exceeding 20 metres. Operators provide tanks, weights, and snorkel gear, and trips typically launch from local beaches between 8am and 2pm.
What to expect
- Sessions last 2 to 3 hours, including a 30-minute boat ride to sites such as Crystal Bay or Manta Point
- Each booking includes a certified dive master, full scuba equipment, and a pre-dive briefing on current and entry points
- You will see hawksbill turtles, reef sharks, and schools of batfish along the coral walls at depths of 8 to 25 metres
- Snorkellers stay in shallow lagoons with hard corals and anemonefish, while divers descend to the drop-off edges
- Suitable for certified divers with at least 10 logged dives, and for confident swimmers using a mask and fins
- Surface intervals include bottled water and fruit, and a logbook stamp is provided after each dive
