What to expect

• Pitch your own tent or rent a pre-erected tent on a cliff terrace, with direct views of the ocean and the Uluwatu Temple silhouette.
• Expect shared cold-water showers, squat toilets, and a small common area with a bench and table; no electricity hookups are provided.
• Wake to the sound of waves and roosters; sunrise over the Indian Ocean is visible from most tent entrances between 6:00 and 6:30 AM.
• Walk 10 to 15 minutes down a paved path to reach Padang Padang Beach for surfing, or 20 minutes to the Uluwatu Temple cliff walk.
• Suitable for budget travellers and surfers who prioritise location over comfort; bring your own sleeping pad and torch, as the ground is uneven and lighting is minimal.
• On-site staff can store your luggage during the day and sell bottled water and instant noodles, but there is no restaurant or kitchen on the grounds.
